WELCOMING GARETH SIMPSON AS REPTON PREP'S NEW HEAD OF BOARDING

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Gareth Simpson as Repton Prep’s new Head of Boarding, joining us with a wealth of experience in both pastoral care and independent preparatory education.

Gareth brings with him over a decade of hands-on involvement in leading and supporting boarding communities. Most recently Director of Sport at S. Anselm’s School, Gareth has been instrumental in shaping pastoral initiatives, mentoring staff, and supporting pupils from Nursery through to Year 8. His commitment to the holistic development of young people through academics, sport, adventure and wellbeing, is perfectly aligned with Repton Prep’s ethos.

Throughout his career, Gareth has played an active role in boarding life: running weekend excursions, organising clubs, and ensuring the wellbeing of boarders through regular informal engagement. His experiences at other leading schools have seen him take on pastoral responsibilities including safeguarding, form leadership, and residential care - all of which equip him brilliantly for this role at Repton Prep.

Mrs Vicky Harding, Head of Repton Prep, commented: "Gareth’s passion for education, his creative approach to pupil development, and his ability to connect with children across the age ranges will be a huge asset to our community. I am thrilled to welcome him to Repton Prep and confident that his leadership will continue to enhance our outstanding boarding provision."

Boarding at Repton Prep offers something truly special - a warm, inclusive and dynamic environment where children can thrive both personally and academically. With exceptional pastoral care, broad co-curricular opportunities, and the beautiful space Repton Prep’s campus provides, boarders enjoy a home-from-home experience enriched by friendship, structure, and fun.
