PUPILS EXCEL IN LAMDA EXAMINATIONS

Many congratulations to those pupils who took their LAMDA examinations in June - we are delighted to report 100% pass rate. Twenty two pupils took exams in either Acting, Verse and Prose, or Reading for Performance this Summer Term, securing an impressive 20 distinctions and 2 merits. 45% of pupils not only achieved a distinction grade but scored over 90%. 

Charlotte C (Y8) and Sophie B (Y4) were awarded a score of 100/100 with distinction. 

Head Mrs Vicky Harding sends her congratulations to pupils, saying: "These are outstanding results and a credit to the strength of our LAMDA department here at Repton Prep. We are delighted to encourage this important facet of our Creative Arts programme as it builds confidence, enabling pupils to participate positively in every aspect of school life. Well done to everyone involved in these exams."

Head of LAMDA Mrs Sekhon, added: "I am over the moon and absolutely thrilled for my pupils. The results are exceptional and richly deserved. Throughout the year pupils have shown resilience and an indomitable spirit, dedicating themselves fully in order to achieve these stunning results! I am so incredibly proud of them all." 

Pupils received impressive feedback from the examiner, including ‘what lovely bright energy you bring to your performance…’, ‘you are a confident performer with a super strong voice which is full of colour, you concentrate on every moment to bring characters worlds to life for an audience to share and believe in…’, ‘you really make the words POP from the stage…’, ‘lovely subtle work with such mature considered energy, producing committed natural engagement with characters ensuring an audience is fully immersed in the moment of your action and the worlds you create and inhibit…’ and ‘you really bring characters to life with such lovely facial engagement’.
