OLD REPTONIAN SOCIETY

Becoming a Reptonian means a lifelong connection with our entire School community that brings a lifetime of value. 

The Old Reptonian Society was set up over 120 years ago to enable Old Reptonians (ORs) to keep in touch with one another, as well as maintain links with the School and benefit from the opportunities of being part of a global community. Forging new friendships and connections through a range of social events, playing for OR Sports Clubs or participating in other OR Branches such as ORs in the Arts and Music, as well as receiving careers guidance from our OR Careers Ambassadors in a particular field of interest, are just some of the benefits ORs around the world enjoy.

All Reptonians automatically become life-long members of the Old Reptonian Society on leaving Repton.

We have established a close community of OR Careers Ambassadors who can offer guidance to our younger ORs as they embark on their career pathway.

Career Ambassadors

The OR Society hosts events at Repton, in London and elsewhere in the UK, as well as overseas. The Calendar of Events, for future and past, can be viewed here.

Calendar Of Events

The many Old Reptonian Sports Clubs and Branches allow Reptonians to maintain friendships and links with the School, and build on the activities for which they have a passion. As well as sport, there are also groups who link up through The Arts, Music and other areas of common interest.

In keeping with the OR Society’s founding principles, the OR Society is proud to provide grants to ORs seeking to further develop their career ambitions. Each application for funding will be considered on individual merit by the OR Society Executive Committee. To learn more please contact The OR Office.

Newly Refurbished Design & Technology Studio Re-Opens

13 September 2024 also saw the re-opening of the newly refurbished DT workshop, re-named ‘The Robert Kirkland Design Centre’ in honour of Robert Kirkland (Orchard 1959-64), whose generous gift, and huge support of the School over many years, enabled this wonderful upgrade.

Launch of the Digital Priory

Donors, Governors and other guests were invited back to Repton on 13 September 2024 to celebrate the opening of the new ‘Digital Priory’. This interactive classroom is the jewel in the crown of the plans to transform the Cattley Building into a modern Business School.

Visit of Richard Kan

On 12 September 2024, Repton welcomed back Richard Kan (Cross 1966-68), an Old Reptonian and generous benefactor to the School, after whom The Kan Library at the top of the Science Priory is named.

Repton Says Goodbye as the OR Society Welcomes

On 29 June 2024, Repton said goodbye to the Leavers of 2024. Speech Day celebrated incredible achievements, with speeches from the Headmaster Mark Semmence, guest speaker OR Surgeon Rear Admiral Fleur Marshall (Abbey 1988–90), Chair Of Governors Mark Shires and our Head Prefects. Good Luck Leavers of 2024 – we have no doubt you will do amazingly well!

USA's Historic Victory Over Pakistan in the T20 Cricket World Cup

Repton School are celebrating the success of Cricketer and OR, Nitish Kumar. Kumar was selected to represent the USA in the T20 Cricket World Cup being held in the States and was integral to the USA vs. Pakistan history-making win.

OR Gaudy Reunion

The OR Gaudy Reunion took place on 18 May at Repton with around 50 in attendance. The sun shone on the Garth as drinks were served and ORs reminisced about their time at school. This was followed by a delicious lunch in the historic Undercroft in the Old Priory, with speeches from President of the OR Society Samantha Wilkinson (Abbey 1986-88) and Headmaster Mark Semmence. The day was topped off with a tour of the School and then drinks in The Boot for those who wanted to continue.
